What are some common phrases heard in military life that you don't often hear in civilian communities?

E.G., Zero dark thirty, TDY, If the Army wanted you to have a family they'd have issued you one.

    I don't believe these are exclusive to the military, but they are wonderful virtues!

    Happily, I rarely hear that crap. It's a very careful and deliberate process, and not without costs. Still, I think it's worth it! :)

    Lots of people say "f**kin a" outside of the military. And when I went to camp, we called the building where we ate the mess hall and the bathrooms latrines.
